Click on the following and REALLY read this from the Associated Press:"...Two things MATTER most in professional sports: WINNING and PROFITS. SELIG has delivered both."
Boy...Now there's a statement that pretty-much sums it up.
You'll notice that there's no mention of the words "PROTECTING and PRESERVING the INTEGRITY of the GAME" in that emphatic statement...just "Winning" and "Profits"...OH yeah...and "..SELIG has delivered BOTH."
If that's not an indictment of Selig's character...nothing is....Fehr is right up there with him, as well...The only difference between 'em is: Most of us HOPED Selig had it (character)...We pretty much KNEW Fehr didn't.
If there ever was a time for us old farts to "let it go"...it's now...Unfortunately...It is what it is...and, to quote an old poet...
"..The times...they are-a-changin'..."
