Da Stevo: "Friends in H(i)GH Places"

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Rep. Christopher Shays wants to focus on finding the best way to rid baseball of banned drugs. The Connecticut Republican said the sport's leadership deserves the brunt of the blame. Story here.

"Part of it is that Major League Baseball has been incredibly passive on this issue to the point of condoning it," he said. "And so, who do I think is mostly at fault? The *commissioner, frankly, for tolerating it and for not having the guts to step up and say we need changes and if you don't agree with me, then find someone else to run this corrupt process."

At least somebody agrees with me...Put that fucker (Selig) on the grill and get the TiVO set-up...I'm in..

Selig is just as guilty, or more guilty. He allowed (and I bet encouraged) this stuff to go on after the strike.

What baseball needs is an impartial GM.
